The Reading Development ExPlained
The Reading Development Explained course is now available. The course provides a solid foundation in how we learn to read, with information about the five pillars of reading instruction in phonological awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension.
The course details what thirty years of research says about effective instruction, how it can be taught in the classroom, and ways to differentiate instruction to meet various learners’ needs during the same lesson. We prepare you with the knowledge and corresponding activities and resources provided for each pillar, so that learning can be translated into practice immediately.
